I bought this watch for my Husband, our 15th Wedding Anniversary. He's always been fascinated by watches and wanted to ease his way into someday starting a collection. I started searching for the perfect first watch for him. He's an avid sportsman, fishing, hunting, clay shooting, and into military history. As I fell into the rabbit hole of watches and deciding which one to get, I could not get the Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical watch out of my head, so i went with it. AND HE LOVES IT! He's really enjoying this watch, and is getting a lot of compliments on it, some think that it's very high end. It's a beautiful time piece, with precision movements and couldn't be a better introduction into the world of watches. He's learning more and more about it every day and is really enjoying wearing it. Proud to be wearing something that has such a strong American heritage. So far its wearing well, he loves the color I went with (Dial Color Green, NATO Strap and Stainless Steel Brown). So far, so great!!

It’s a great watch, but has a few shortcomings. The lume could be brighter and last longer, and the water resistance could be better. Also it would benefit from an anti reflective coating. I find myself moving my wrist around in order to see the dial clearly. I bought this watch for hiking, and it works perfect for that, but these few items keep it from being the perfect everyday, do everything kind of watch.
