38 mm stainless steel case, three hand display, dark dial with light-colored numerals, triangular indexes with old radium color Super-LumiNova®, durable NATO strap: The new Khaki Field Mechanical is a faithful recreation of its original 1960s forebear and is true to Hamilton’s military heritage. The original soldier’s watch now features Hamilton’s unique ‘Earth’ colored PVD case coating. This Hamilton leather strap is made from natural materials. The leather is tanned, but has not been treated, pigmented and finished in the same way as some other leather straps. This helps it to retain its natural look and also means that every piece is not exactly the same. As a result, the color of the leather strap may differ from the color shown on the image. Absolutely adore my field mechanical 38mm, fantastic fantastic watch. Wears light as a feather, particularly like the strap with the leather bit that encircles the whole wrist including under the watch back. Faithful recreation of the original iconic watch with its own nice modern flavor, I even like the fauxtina lume color. Overall a brilliant watch from a brilliant company for an incredible price.

While the leather band is less robust than expected, the mechanical watch has been performing very well. There were no directions on the number of winds per day, so I went by trail and error to get the number right. I now understand that you need to reach the point of resistance.

Love the classic design. Fantastic power reserve, incredible in hand-wind. Amazing value for this quality. Wish it were a bit smaller in keeping with vintage heritage, but still wears very well.
