This is a very smart watch with a high-contrast, legible dial. I love the aviator design and the 39mm case with a 47mm lug-to-lug distance is the sweet spot for my wrist size. I'm happy with the quality and the aesthetics of this watch. This is my first Hamilton but likely will not be my only purchase from this brand. If I had to mention any negatives, they are that at this price point, I would have expected an on-the-fly micro-adjust clasp, but I needed to use tools to make the final adjustments for a perfect fit. I knew this before I bought the watch though, so it did not affect my purchase decision. The lume is bright and legible, but charges less effectively under any light source that is not sunlight, and doesn't last very long. I would also have liked a white/ivory dial option for this model. Overall, I'm a happy customer. I use the original steel bracelet or a leather strap when I want to dress up, or pair it with sailcloth, nylon, or canvas when I want a more informal look. It works great with all these options. Apart from the design and fit of the watch itself, I like the history and heritage of the Hamilton brand. I hope the watch gives me many years of service.
