I had an idea of what I wanted, but couldn't find a size that worked for me, until I discovered the Khaki Field Quartz in 40mm. I checked all of the boxes.

Overall I am in love with this watch! I can’t stop looking at it. It’s simple, clear, well made, and has classic, timeless appeal. I absolutely love it. The only two things I would change are: (1) an option to buy a strap/bracelet that isn’t leather (I do what I can to not buy animal products, but this was the watch I wanted and leather was the only choice), and (2) taking the warning sticker off the box ripped some of the box off.

Love how the band wears in and gets better with time. Too much packaging even though its nice - it creates too much waste.
