Since 1932, Hamilton watches have appeared in over 500 movies. We’ve worked with some of the biggest names in the industry both behind and in front of the camera.
As a pioneer and innovator in the world of watchmaking, at Hamilton we’re not content to sit back and look at what we’ve achieved in the past. We’re working today to ensure that the movie makers of tomorrow have the support and encouragement they need to realize their dreams in the future.
That’s why we’ve set up a dedicated project with the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in the U.S. state of Georgia. The college has a strong reputation for its courses which cover all aspects of the movie making process. Aspiring directors, cinematographers, production designers and costume designers attend the college in hopes of one day making it to Hollywood.
We set the students the challenge of creating a short movie for Hamilton which celebrates our American heritage and highlights some of our major milestones. Watch their movie here.

SCAD Professor
From their position behind the camera, the students brought their own unique vision to our watches.
With our long-standing connections to Hollywood, the students were assured that their movie would be seen. How? Because it was presented in November 2018 at Hamilton Behind the Camera Awards in Los Angeles. Attracting the great and the good from both sides the camera as honorees and presenters for the evening, the Awards ceremony was the perfect opportunity for the students to showcase their talent.
For fans of Hamilton and fans of the movies, seeing the behind the scenes talent of tomorrow at work today is a great thing. At Hamilton, we’re proud to support the next generation of movie makers.
