Military watches and army watches
At Hamilton, we create timepieces that are fit for action in the field or in the skies. Our military watches are sought after by pilots as a navigation tool, by enthusiasts who immerse themselves in the world of aviation and by life’s adventurers – individuals who want a robust timepiece in their essential kit. Rugged army watches from our Khaki Field
collection are known as some of the best military tactical watches available. In fact, Hamilton’s soldier watches have been tested by the best since they were initially made for the military in the 1920s.
Soldier watches steeped in history
One of the key milestones in Hamilton’s military history came in 1942 when we halted all commercial production to supply hundreds of timepieces to the U.S. military during World War II. Our efforts were rewarded with five Army-Navy ‘E’ Awards for excellence in manufacturing, and the Khaki Field Mechanical
is still known as the original soldier’s watch. Today, Hamilton military watches draw on a rich history and offer the undoubted benefits of modern Swiss precision.
From the great outdoors to the big screen
Thanks to their storied past and eye-catching designs, our army watches have been a favorite of filmmakers for decades, In “Pearl Harbor,” Captain Rafe McCawley, played by Ben Affleck, wears the Khaki Field handwinding, and in “Amelia,” Amelia Earhart, played by Hilary Swank, wears the Khaki Field Quartz.
A cockpit that can be worn on the wrist
Our Khaki Aviation collection celebrates over a century of experience in creating reliable military watches for the flying community and it includes precision watches for professional pilots and military-inspired vintage designs for the aviation enthusiast. For more than 100 years, pilots have put their trust in Hamilton watches, knowing that they are carefully crafted instruments, designed with aviators in mind. The hallmark of the Khaki Field collection is their rugged and functional design. But they also allow the wearer to express their personal style by choosing between a stainless steel bracelet or a traditional green textile NATO strap, paired with a variety of dark and light dial options. Offering a completely different look, the Titanium Auto
has a strong and comfortable rubber strap that complements its straightforward and highly readable dial. Several newer Khaki Field Mechanical watches feature a PVD case coating in the characteristic Earth color, adding a dash of style to their functionality.
Taking aviation watches to new heights
While celebrating Hamilton's military heritage, our Khaki Aviation range also reaches forward into the future. For example, a vintage military watch made for the British Royal Air Force in 1973 has been faithfully reproduced, but it now features a modern hand winding movement with 80 hours of power reserve. This ensures maximum reliability even when the watch is not wound for a few days. All the aviation watches provide unbeatable accuracy and pioneering character.
