BASELWORLD 2014 - RETROSPECTIVE
Baselworld 2014 proved to be a great success for Hamilton. The presented novelties this year were met with enthusiasm and positive reviews by the markets, distributors and journalists. "As a team, we are very excited about launching the full collection in the upcoming months", confirmed CEO, Sylvain Dolla.
Hamilton has introduced four new movements to its repertoire this year and is therefore underlining the Swiss Precision of their products. A trio of new Hamilton movements (the H-10, H-30 and H-40) boasts a typical power reserve of 80 hours, meeting the highest demands for convenience and accuracy. The H-22is a small second movement and hosting its première is the RailRoad Small Second, which uses the facility for the asymmetric positioning of the small second counter at eight o'clock to great esthetic effect. Skeletonized rotors and elaborate decoration are some more highlights that raise the bar in both functionality and esthetics this year.
The American Spirit is reflected in many novelties this year, such as the limited Flintridge, which is inspired by a 1930s Hamilton sports watch with a protective cover and strategically placed small allowing a peek of the day and date in the gents version and a cluster of seven diamonds in the lady's. The Pan Europ, inspired by a sporty design of the piece introduced in 1971 turned out to be a must-have piece for the summer this year, with great colours and either a nato or leather strap.
According to Hamilton's CEO Sylvain Dolla, the Khaki Takeoff, the highlight of this year, was perceived with great enthusiasm:"We have created this watch to meet the needs of our partner Air Zermatt, the Swiss mountain rescue service. This pilot watch, which will simultaneously act as a wrist-, cockpit- and table watch, will be officially introduced to the market at the end of the year".
